Blog Topic: How can online tools make you more productive?

Hey all!

So before I get started, Happy Valentine’s Day!! Hope everyone gets spoiled!

Online tools make you more productive, because it is an every growing population.  The internet has become one of the most used source out there.  Without it, most people these days wouldn’t know what to do.  I know that I myself use online tools everyday of my life.  From checking my email (maybe I landed a job), to researching things I am curious about and or need to know on Google, Wikipedia, etc.  It’s an easy accessibility and takes no time at all.

When it comes to using online tools, one may not know the fastest and more accurate source out there, this causing frustration, and or leaves them searching forever.  But in our generation, the internet has become so much more better than before, bringing us many topics, choices, and posts than any book out there, and with just one click of the mouse.  Online tools make us more productive because you can do so much at once.  You could be in a meeting and someone is talking french, BAM! Google Translate. If you need directions to your new friends house, Google Maps is there to help you.  There is so much online, and is always available to help whoever, whenever.

Blog Topic: Your Social Media Tips for Students

Hey Guys!

So today’s topic is my social media tips for students.

What I have to say, is be adventurous.  Get as many social media skills as you can.  Learn the proper way to use it because it can come in handy one day.

Social media allows one to get noticed, find things that can help you get a job in the future, and or help for research.  I would get connected to Linkedin as soon as possible if one has not already.  That is a key site where businesses are always looking for somebody to hire who fits their needs. I would definitely set up a profile and try to find connections.

As a student, you want to make an impression, get noticed.  So clean up your Facebook page so that it is employee friendly, and not party mayhem. Be careful what you post online, anyone can be watching at any time, and it can take effect on if you land that million dollar contract job or not.

Don’t be afraid to get yourself out there.  I’m super shy when it comes to finding a job, but if you want it bad enough, the nerves go away like you could not imagine.  Everything falls naturally.  Social Media is amazing, because the employer can see who you are and your strengths without ever meeting you.

Go get out there, you’ll never know who is watching and waiting for you!

Blog Topic: What is your favourite social media tool and why?

My favourite social media is not what you would think the common student, teenager, would say.

No, it is NOT facebook, nor twitter, nor google+.  It IS in fact, Youtube.  Youtube for me, is an opportunity.  Its a tool that takes videos, and posts them for the world to see.  It’s where people post their music, show off their acting skills, movies, or funny videos.  It’s where I find my entertainment.

People are able to get themselves out there and noticed on this site, its where many musicians are found by recording studios, or famous artists.  It’s where people share what they know, with people who want to know.  Thanks to Youtube, life is made simple, with just a click of a mouse.

Music is a big part of my life, and without it, I don’t know how I would survive this world.  It’s my inspiration, what makes me smile, how to get out all emotions.  Youtube allows me to find what it is I’m looking for, and I can gladly get my fix.

All social media is important, but this one beats all by far.  Without it, there would be no way in getting noticed, to see music videos/blogs, and discover new talent out there.

Blog Topic: Why is social media important?

Social media has become one of the largest ways to connect with people all over the world.

I believe it is important for many different reasons.

1. Helps CONNECT with friends/family

Facebook has become such an accessory to everyone’s daily routine, and it has connected people with so many lost friends, and family members.  People are able to find someone they thought they had lost, whether someone moved away, lost touch, or lives miles and miles in the opposite direction.  Social media has helped to regain communication, and help build stronger relationships.

2. Gets you NOTICED

Be it a musician, or magician, actress, or business executive, social media will do what it does best… getting you noticed.  Youtube, MySpace, Twitter, Facebook,  are all a big part of the social media sites that portray great outcomes! Look at Justin Beiber, Grayson Chance, they were nobody’s, but they had big dreams, and they got noticed because of people sharing, viewing, and posting their videos to friends and family all over the world.  Now, they are rising to stardom, all thanks to social media.

Without social media, our world would not be the same.  We’d miss out on all the possibilities that are out there for us, and we would never know the outcome of  our dreams.
